If there was any doubt that LaBryan Ray was a worthy choice for the Under Armour All-America Game, look no further than his performance against Sparkman (Ala.) this season when he had 17 tackles.
Or against Gadsen City when he blocked a punt and returned it for a touchdown.
Ray, the state of Alabama’s top prospect from James Clemens High in Madison, received his honorary jersey Friday when the Selection Tour presented by American Family Insurance came to his school.

“My dream on the football field is to be the best player I can be and to strive to help my team win a championship on every level,” he said.
Ray, named the state’s 7A Linemen of the Year as a junior, figures to have plenty of championship opportunities in the SEC. He has narrowed his list to Alabama, Auburn, Tennessee, Mississippi State, Florida and Ole Miss.
He has not announced a commitment date, but the Under Armour game on Jan. 1 in Orlando is a possibility.
