Isaiah Pola-Mao from No. 9 Mountain Pointe (Phoenix) has been voted the Super 25 Top Star for games of Nov. 10-12 by readers of USA TODAY High School Sports.
Pola-Mao had three interceptions, returning two for touchdowns on consecutive Desert Ridge possessions, as Mountain Pointe won 47-21 in a 6A Conference playoff quarterfinal matchup.
In all, Mountain Pointe scored four defensive touchdowns in the game — three on interceptions returns and a fumble return.
“I saw the opportunity to (get those interceptions) and I just took a hold of it,” Pola-Mao told Gannett partner AZCentral.com.

Mountain Pointe, which improved to 12-0, advanced to the 6A semifinals against Mesa Red Mountain at Tempe McClintock on Friday
“We did our job here. Now, it’s on to the next week,” Pola-Mao said.
Pola-Mao is the 11th Super 25 Top Star of the season. Weekly voting did not begin until all states were in action. The weekly winners will be part of voting for Super 25 Top Star of the Season after state championships are decided nationwide.
