COACH OF THE YEAR
Sheila Seymore-Pennick, Ribault (Jacksonville)
In her 12th year as the head coach at Ribault, Seymore-Pennick led the Trojans to a 29-1 record, the Class 5A state title and the DICK’S Sporting Goods High School Nationals championship. She has compiled a career win-loss record of 291-60 at Ribault.
FIRST TEAM
Player of the Year
Rennia Davis, F, Ribault (Jacksonville), 6-0, Jr.
The star junior averaged 20.2 points, 10.4 rebounds and 3.1 assists per contest, leading Ribault to a third consecutive Class 5A state championship and the DICK’S Sporting Goods High School Nationals title. Davis was MVP of the national tournament, scoring 23 points in the championship game and 20 in the semifinals.
Jordan Lewis, PG, Lake Highland Prep (Orlando), 5-8, Sr.
Lewis, an Alabama signee, averaged 17.7 points, 5.1 assists and 4.8 rebounds for a Lake Highland Prep team that captured its second straight Class 4A state championship.
Jazmine Jones, G, FAMU (Tallahassee), 6-0, Sr.
A Louisville signee and the state’s Gatorade Girls Basketball Player of the Year, Jones led the Baby Rattlers (30-2) to its fourth straight Class 2A state title this past season, averaging 22.4 points, 9.6 rebounds and 4.7 assists per game.
Rellah Boothe, F, IMG Academy (Bradenton), 6-1, Jr.
Boothe, the nation’s No. 2 rated recruit in the Class of 2017 by ESPN, averaged 22.7 points and 8.5 points per game this season.
Nadia Fingall, F, Choctawhatchee (Fort Walton Beach), 6-3, Sr.
The Stanford signee averaged 18.3 points, 11.4 rebounds and 3.4 assists for the Indians (24-5) who advanced to the Class 6A semifinals.
