Fran Belibi, a 6-1 sophomore from Regis Jesuit (Aurora), already has the first — and second — dunks in a Colorado girls high school basketball game. She now has the first postseason dunk, too.

Belibi made a steal and went in for one-handed jam in Regis Jesuit’s 64-35 victory against Fort Collins in the third round of the 5A playoffs.

Belibi had 21 points and 16 rebounds.

Notre Dame (Sherman Oaks, Calif.) standout Hunter Greene, an American Family Insurance ALL-USA preseason selection and potential No. 1 pick in the upcoming MLB draft, made his debut Saturday.

And it was quite a debut.

According to the Los Angeles Daily News’ Evan Barnes, Greene pitched five innings allowing three hits, two runs, and struck out seven. He also launched a second-inning grand slam, as seen in the video above.

Six players earn Under Armour All-America Game invites at Orlando event

Six more players earned invitations to the 2018 Under Armour All-America Game after the second stop in the new Under Armour All-America Camp Series. The players competed in the event at West Orange High near Orlando.

The invite-only camp focused on various athletic testing including the 40-yard dash, pro agility and the vertical jump, plus the athletes competed in head-to-head competitions against other athletes at their positions.

RELATED: Three players get Under Armour All-America Game invites at new series

The invitations to the All-America Game were not solely based on players’ performance at the camp. Organizers took into account game film and other factors before offering spots.

The players are:

  • Joshua Moore, the nation’s leader in offers with 54. Moore is a wide receiver for IMG Academy (Bradenton, Fla.) after transferring from Texas. He is ranked No. 13 at his position in the 247Sports Composite.
  • Chandler Jones, a 5-10 cornerback from Miramar. He has three reported offers, including one from Mississippi State late last week. His performance could help increase that number substantially.

  • Brian Snead, an Ohio State commit at running back from Armwood (Sefner). Snead is ranked as the No. 4 running back by the 247Sports Composite and chose the Buckeyes from among 12 reported offers.
  • Daniel Faalele, a massive offensive tackle from IMG Academy (Bradenton, Fla.) who might be the most intriguing prospect in the Class of 2018. Fallele is learning the game after coming to the U.S. from Australia, but you can’t teach 6-8 and 400 pounds.
  • Cleveland Reed, a 6-3, 327-pound guard from Lakeland. Reed, who has 14 reported offers, took an unofficial visit to Miami on Saturday for junior day. He is ranked as the No. 8 guard in the 247Sports Composite.
  • William Barnes, an offensive tackle from Apopka. He is ranked as the No. 8 OT and has 17 reported offers. He is 6-4 and 312 pounds. Shortly after the Under Armour event finished, Barnes tweeted that he also had received an invitation to the U.S. Army All-American Bowl.

The name that jumps off the page — and often out of the gym — for Spartanburg Day (S.C.) is Zion Williamson.

But Chandler Lindsey has plenty of dunks too and Lindsey stands 5-11.

Earlier this season, he jumped over a teammate for a one-handed slam to win the dunk contest at the Farm Bureau Insurance Classic.

But that was a dunk contest. Here he posters a defender in the state championship game. Sprtanburg Day beat Christian Academy (Myrtle Beach) 76-51 in the SCISA 2A state championship.

Mario Haskett was the hero when L.C. Bird (Chesterfield, Va.) took down Varina (Henrico, Va.) in the conference championship.

Haskett first hit a three-pointer with just under three minutes remaining to give Bird a six-point lead, but Varina stormed back to tie it with five seconds left.

Then, as seen in the video above from Hudl, Haskett struck again.

These two met again a few days later in the region semifinal, which ended in another Bird victory.

Haskett, meanwhile, will play next season at Harvard.

A Calif. high school athlete played the role of hero Monday when he sprang into action to help save a man who was trapped after rolling his van in an accident, according to CBS13.

Stanley Vi, a senior at Sacramento’s Kennedy High School, was standing nearby when a loud noise pulled his attention to the road.

“As soon as I heard the loud bang, I turned around and I was just running. I drop my bag,” Vi told CBS13 in Sacramento. “My only worry was, man there was another life there and I didn’t want to waste that.

“Just thankful that the man is alive and that I could be the one to contribute to that.”

Vi, who plays several sports according to the report, including football, was lauded by his coach after the incident.

“It shows that there are kids who care about other people and they’re not just running around caring about themselves,” James Bowles, a coach at the school told CBS13.

Police say the accident was due to a medical emergency, according to the report.

Other committed players are Jaren Jackson (Michigan State), Troy Brown (Oregon), Collin Sexton (Alabama), and Michael Porter Jr. (Washington).

Four uncommitted players round out the roster, with Trevon Duval, Mohamed Bamba, Kevin Knox, and M.J. Walker.

The 2017 USA Junior National Select Team will face an international team comprised of players less than 19 years old at the Nike Hoop Summit April 7 in Oregon.

While there are two weeks remaining in the 2016-17 high school wrestling season, Blair Academy (Blairstown, N.J.) has defended its USA TODAY/National High School Coaches Association Super 25 national championship by winning its 37th National Prep team championship last weekend.

RELATED: See the full Super 25 rankings

Though Blair locked up the Super 25 title, there will still be one more Super 25 ranking to be released March 15.

Blair won the team title by outscoring No. 9 Wyoming Seminary (Kingston, Pa.) by 30 points and No. 6 Malvern Prep (Malvern, Pa.) by 80 points.

Six Buccaneers won individual titles. Ohio State-bound Chase Singletary won his second straight National Prep title at 220 pounds. Also winning a second title were sophomore Chris Cannon at 126 and junior Andrew Merola at 160.

Capturing their first titles were freshman Trevor Mastragiovanni at 113, senior Zach Sherman at 132 and junior Malcolm Robinson at 138.

“The guys raised their intensity and competed extremely well in the medal round,” said Blair head coach Brian Antonelli. “Nick (Incontrera) got the team off to a great start and Trevor sparked the moment with his huge overtime win. Overall, the team made great progress over the past several months and team members are better wrestlers than they were at the beginning of the season. A great deal of our wrestlers’ success came from their hustle and dedication in the wrestling room.”

Aside from Blair locking up the national title, there are no changes in this week’s rankings.

There won’t be any rankings next week, and we’ll release our final Super 25 March 15.

An 11-year-old boy died Wednesday night in Miami after he collapsed as he was preparing for a track meet, officials said, according to WSVN and multiple outlets.

Kaleb Harris was on the ground and had no pulse and was not breathing when first responders arrived at Miami Northwestern High, Miami Fire Rescue Capt. Ignatius Carroll said, according to WSVN. They began to administer CPR and then rushed him to the hospital.

“We understand that this young man was part of an athletic club and was just starting his warmup on the track when several people witnessed him collapse,” Carroll said. “When they arrived, we found this young man unresponsive.

Family members told WSVN that Harris had no prior health issues. It is unclear what caused him to collapse.

The family told WPLG that Kaleb was always active and was a football player who recently started with track. His little sister was ahead of him on the track when he collapsed.

Miami-Dade Public Schools Superintendent Alberto Carvalho confirmed the death on Twitter.
